last november...

it's almost been a year since i left for scotland.
it's been about six months since i returned and last posted here.

why am i once again posting on gone scottish? perhaps out of notalgia. the chances that anyone will read this are slim. i certainly wouldn't check a blog that hadn't updated in six months. but if you do happen across this (maybe out of a similarly nostaligic impulse as mine) let me know.

it was about this time last year that i was starting to get excited about going off to glasgow. i had no idea what i would be doing there so the feeling of the near future being an almost completely blank book got me excited and a little nervous. i created this blog in early-mid december after ed blog gave me the idea. also about this time last year i began growing a beard which i shaved off shortly before christmas.

i am in a very different position now than i was a year ago in some ways, but in others, very little has changed. i suppose i couldn't have expected any different.
