got some rice

well, i've got less than 2 weeks left, but i'm not the first to leave my flat. i found a box and a bag of rice in my cupboard this morning, which i, at first, thought was a joke at my expense since rice is the main staple of my diet here, but actually it meant that one of the marks was clearing out his food because he is leaving today.
apparently, he was going to transfer after this year into second year elsewhere, but gave up the second year thing and decided to call it quits early.
i guess this is a problem with the british system that makes you declare your career at the age of 17 or 18; you get people who change their minds.

in other news, the dv/firewire cable has gone awol and some girl hasn't returned one of the cameras and i'm being held responsible for this. so i've got to spend some time tracking down this person in the hope that she returns the camera so i don't have to replace it (this likely won't happen but it was a real cheap camera anyway) and has the dv/firewire cable so i can get to work.

i feel bad not having a picture up, i thought about posting a picture of a dv/firewire cable but that wouldn't be too great and i don't have a picture of mark so the only other option is to post something unrelated but i'm not feeling up to the task.
