italy now

got to rome yesterday. i've seen too much history for my own good today, but did manage to get myself lost enough to find a decent area. an area where the book stores have entire separate sections for "epistemology" "anarchism" "marxism" and "social theory". also found a most excellent "once upon a time in the west" poster in italian. molto bene.
had some trouble with getting to the airport in berlin since i set my alarm to wake up, not remembering that the clock was still on glasgow time (an hour different) so i realized that i had to run to the airport while showering at what i thought was 8am but was actually 9am. it was a very weird, empty airport. it's the one the allies used to get into berlin apparently. i took a picture of myself sitting in a completely empty terminal waiting for the plane (despite the time issues i still arrived with some time to spare, i was out of that shower, dressed, packed and on the "u-bahn" subway thing in 7 minutes)
chris and lisa arrive in edinburgh in a week.
i still don't have a job.
i don't want the internet cafe computer to shut me down prematurely so i'll end it there.
